Fiction Workshop

Course Number: #1901

This course is divided into two sections. The first section will review the background and elements of fiction including plot structure, character, setting, theme, point-of-view, dialogue and voice/tone. Writing assignments will include practice activities to strengthen these skills. The second section of this course is designed as a true workshop environment in which students will complete a variety or writing exercises that will be evaluated through oral presentations and by peer scoring rubrics. Students are expected to submit one of their writings to The Forum and/or other publications.
