Language Arts
"Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another."
The Language Arts department strives to cultivate in students the ability to effectively express themselves and to engage in meaningful discourse with their peers, communities, and the world at large. In a society where the modes and meanings of communication are constantly evolving, it is critical that students are able to confidently express themselves through speaking, writing, and listening. Students should be able to use these skills as a bridge to success in other areas of study, by interpreting and thinking critically about literature and other information they encounter.
