West Point will host two sessions of the Summer Leaders Seminar in 2009. Applications for Pennsylvania Governors School of Excellence School for the Arts are due at the Intermediate Unit by 3:00 p.m. on January 5th! The IU will be closed December 24-26, 2008, and January 1-2, 2009, for the holidays. We do not recommend mailing for any applications because the mail can get backed up over the holidays and/or the artwork could be damaged. It is highly recommended that the applications are delivered in person to Intermediate Unit #5 in Edinboro, PA.
Summer College Opportunity Program in Education (SCOPE) » Penn State offers this four week program to high school sophomores of multicultural heritages who show an interest in careers in education, the opportunity to experience college life while earning credit for college work. Dates: Sunday June 28 to Friday July 24, 2009. All costs paid for; the program is very challenging academically as well as socially. Lehigh University Diversity Achievers Program » On November 2 and 3, Lehigh University offers an opportunity for diverse high school seniors to immerse themselves in different aspects of Lehigh life for two days and one night. All travel and meal expenses for selected participants will be covered by Lehigh University.
