Student Dress Code
As a member of the Collegiate Academy family, you are expected to adhere to dress code at all times. Violations will result in parent notification and/or detention. The intent of the dress code is to ensure that you present a neat appearance and to maintain a professional atmosphere within the school.
Select official school clothing from the following solid colors:
- White/Off White
- Navy Blue
- Gray
- Black
- Beige / Khaki
Shirts» All shirts must have a collar, sleeves, and be worn tucked in. The shirt’s sleeves may be short, ¾ length, or long. No colored undershirts should be seen through official school clothing. Sweaters must be worn over a dress code appropriate shirt.
Sweatshirts» Must have the Collegiate Academy logo to be worn in school over a dress code appropriate shirt.
Pants» Pants must be dress style and not touch the floor. Oversized pants are not permitted.
Shorts» Shorts may not be worn after our annual Beach Walk (Oct. 18) or before April 30 and the length must be no shorter than 4 inches above the knee.
Dresses» The length must be no shorter than 4 inches above the knee (this includes slits).
Shoes» Dress shoes are acceptable including dress sandals, which may only be worn until October 15 and not before May 1. Opened-toed sandals, flip flops or soccer sandals are not permitted. Sneakers may be worn.
Logos» Sweaters with school logos are preferable. All other logos (other than Collegiate Academy) must not exceed 2 inches and must be on the left breast only.
Non-uniform Days» Non-uniform days are scheduled throughout the year, allowing you to vary from the colors of the dress code. You are still expected to dress appropriately on these days – halter-tops, pajamas, hats, coats, etc. are not permitted. You will not be permitted to attend classes with questionable attire.
School officials reserve the right to make a judgment about any ambiguity in style, color, length, and/or fit of school dress. You are not permitted to attend classes with a dress code violation.
