Student Dress Code
The intent of our Dress Code is to ensure that students present a neat appearance while at school.
The official school clothing colors for Collegiate Academy are as follows:
- White/Off White
- Navy Blue
- Gray
- Black
- Beige Khaki
Shirts
- Must have a collar and short, long, or 3/4-length sleeves.
- All shirts must be tucked in.
- No colored undershirts are to be seen through official school clothing.
- Shirts must be buttoned.
- Shirts with decorative buttons are not permitted.
- Colors: navy, white, off white, black, gray
Sweaters and Sweatshirts
- Sweaters may be crew neck, v-neck, cardigan, or turtleneck.
- May be worn only with a collared shirt or turtleneck underneath.
- Hooded sweatshirts: Only Collegiate Academy Hooded Sweatshirts are acceptable.
- Fleece jackets or shirts are not acceptable.
- Colors: navy, white, off white, black, gray
Pants
- Dress pants only
- Length: not to touch the floor
- Pants may not be oversized.
- Must be secured at the waist
- Colors: navy, beige khaki, black, gray
Shorts and Capris
- Shorts and capris cannot be worn after October 9 or before May 4.
- Cannot be shorter than four inches above the knee
- Colors: navy, beige khaki, black, gray
Dress and Skirts
- Solid colors only
- Dresses and skirts cannot be shorter than four inches above the knee (this includes slits). Leggins are not considered part of the dress or skirt.
- Leggings must be approved colors.
- Colors: navy, beige khaki, black, gray
Shoes
- The only acceptable shoes are dress shoes or sneakers.
- Not permitted are high heels, sandals, open-toed shoes, or slippers.
- All shoes must have hard soles.
Logos
- Sweaters and sweatshirts with school logos are acceptable.
- All other logos may not exceed two inches and may be on the left breast only.
Non-Dress Code Days
These days usually occur once per month. The following are not permitted: pajama pants, open-toed shoes, and sweatpants. Shorts must meet the four-inch rule and may be worn only before October 9 and after May 4.
School officials reserve the right to make a judgment about any ambiguity in style, color, length, and/or fit of school dress. Students are not permitted to attend classes with a dress code violation.
